HACCP / IPM PROGRAMMES

What is IPM?

Pests will always be a part of our lives. Therefore doing a once off treatment will not solve our problems over the long term. With the IPM programme we work with you the client to solve any problems, and keep pests away over the long term.

IPM programmes are done according to HACCP guidelines. IPM is a solution programme. We a) educate the client, b) analyse the problem, c) do short term action, d) do long term preventative action, e) monitor and document process and f) give constant feedback (reports) to the client. A pest control file will be kept on your premises.

Which advantages does an IPM programme have?

Improved longer lasting results

Safer and healthier

Optimum cost

Long term solutions

How does it work?

An IPM programme works according to these steps:

Inspection on property
Identification of all problems like pests, structural problems, hygiene etc.
Problems, suggestions and quotation presentation.

On acception of your quotation we supply:
Treatments
Prevention measures (structural, hygiene etc.)
Monthly monitoring of situation

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), is the term for safe standards, determined by each client. This process is done on certain guidelines (AIB, BRC, SIS etc.) to establish each food processing facility, packaging facility, food handling facility etc. with a set of safe procedures and methods that regulate their processes and the environment it is done in, to produce a product safe for consumption.

The role of the Pest Control Industry is to compliment the standards and procedures these facilities has imposed and implemented. By applying the concept of an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) program unwanted pests can be controlled and eradicated IPM is a process of basic steps which include; Inspection,
Identification,
Establishment of threshold levels,
Implementing control measures
Ongoing evaluation of its efficiency.

Control measures must be environmentally compatible and economically sound. The IPM approach to Pest Management differs in some ways from the traditional approach that relies primarily upon pesticide use. The PCO will advise the client on methods to control the environment where pesticide use can be of the minimum.
